  • An owl hooted in the darkness and I realised I was alone.
  • Near my home are woods called "The Towers." There are trees, people, dogs and dens and there is a pond with ducks in it.
  • One evening I was taking my dog, Milo for a walk to the Towers with Mum and Chris, when Milo ran off. I ran after him, but I couldn't find him. I heard something and I looked up and saw something moving. It was making a "Tu-whit-too-whoo" sound. It was an owl in the tree above me.
  • The owl was flapping its wings and hooting loudly. It was trying to get us to follow it. It flew through the woods and we followed it. The owl landed on a box that was like a treasure chest.
  • Mum, Chris and I carried the box home. We were still worried about Milo because we had lost him and hoped he would find his way home.
  • We opened the box and out jumped MILO! I felt happy because I had found Milo and Milo was happy to be home.
