The most greatest number of insects is in the tropics.

Some common insect families are: 

Flies, Beetles, Moths, Butterflies, Bugs, Bees,

Ants,, Wasps, Grasshoppers.


Did you know that the smallest insects are parasitic insects.

Parasitic insects are less than 0.025 cm in length when fully grown.

The largest insects alive today are stick insects which are about 30cm long.

Some moths have wingspans of about 30 cm.
