Shadow of the Dragon is set in a magical land where dragons are only to be used by youths and men and where it is strictly forbidden for girls to come into contact with them - the penalty being death! That is until Kira!

Kira is a strong-willed 12 year old girl who dares to challenge the rules of the land ,but then has to grow up fast to protect her family from threatening forces led by Lord Dorcan.

She shows that with true determination and self belief, girls can achieve even against the darkest odds.

Importantly, due to its action and pace, this book should appeal to both boys and girls and even adults who enjoy a good story.

Shadow of the Dragon is a book that's hard to put down and should encourage the most reluctant reader - can't wait for Book 2.

Shadow of the Dragon is a very good action book which keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole way through.
